About Me

Hi! I am Lauren Seidel, a high schooler from Los Angeles, California. To me, nature is a place where I can get away from the stress of school and the pressures of life. Nature is calming and can be a place for reflection. It should be preserved so other generations can have the opportunities we have had to experience it. Additionally, future generations should be able to live in a world with sufficient and sustainable natural resources, not one lacking them. In light of the recent fires along the West Coast, I wanted to create a blog to educate people on the environmental issues happening around the world and how climate change has impacted them. Finally, I am using this blog to inform people about how to live a more sustainable lifestyle and spend more time in nature. Climate change is a serious problem: it increases temperature, leads to ice melt, and has made natural disasters more extreme each year. These events have taken a toll on the health of many people around the world. As young leaders, it is our responsibility to limit our carbon footprint and that of our families. There are ways to reduce your carbon footprint just by tweaking one or two simple things, such as eating less meat and supporting less fast fashion. My blog posts will include alternatives that are more environmentally friendly along with some simple DIY activities. It is critical to live a more sustainable lifestyle and to reduce your carbon footprint.
