Hey guys,

It has been a while, but I have really exciting news today. I have decided to start a new chapter of my blog dedicated to sustainable fashion. We hear a lot about sustainability and sustainable brands, but I feel that there is a lot of unknown information that comes with that. What does sustainability mean when it comes to a brand? How are companies striving to reduce their carbon footprint? Are they truly sustainable or does their marketing of sustainability solely encapsulate the company’s definition of sustainability? There are so many questions, and I want to answer them all!!

Additionally, some brands have certain sustainable or environmentally friendly products. Levis and Converse are just two examples. What does this mean? Is the brand truly striving to make more environmentally friendly policies or what else does this entail?

Not only will I try to explain their policies and what they mean in a simple format, but I will provide a guidebook of sustainable fashion. This will be at the top of each blog post. I will post my favorite products along with full on outfits.

One major thing that comes to mind when people think of environmentally friendly shopping or sustainable fashion is thrifting. I will write plenty of blog posts on thrifting tips, but, if I am being completely candid, I just recently got into thrifting. We can all learn together!! There are certain elements of thrifting that you pick up at the beginning, while other parts are gradually learned over time. However, as stated before, I will not be limited to thrifting, as I do want to provide you all with information about brands you may not have heard of that are sustainable or popular brands whose environmental practices will be shown in depth.

So you may be wondering what the plan is. I will be posting every Sunday about either a sustainable brand or some other form of sustainable fashion. These will be called Sustainable Style Sundays.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions about any environmentally friendly brands you want to know more about or if you have anything else to say.

All the best,

Lauren Seidel
