I don’t know about you guys, but I am the biggest Harry Styles fan. He has so much talent and his concert was literally the best night of my life. When he announced his beauty/fashion line, I was immediately entranced. However, when I saw the prices, let’s just say I knew my bank account could not support that. I still love him and his brand, especially given that he is working to be eco friendly, so let’s dive into that.
Firstly, just logging on to the website is an experience in itself. It is so aesthetically pleasing and on brand. I also think the fact that he has a skincare and nail polish brand is truly spectacular because he is destroying traditional gender norms and, therefore, allowing everyone to be comfortable with themselves and find what they like.
Their sustainability mission page is not as evident as it is on some other websites, as it is located on the bottom of the website. It can be accessed via the “Do Better” link. For his first collection, Perfect Pearl, he partnered with Nest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the world more equitable and economically inclusive. They focus on the artisan and maker community and strive to create gender equality. For his second collection, Shroom Bloom, he partnered with Cool Earth, an organization focused on fighting the climate crisis and protecting the rainforests.
Beyond Pleasing’s partnering with organizations, they do list the sustainability details of all of their products. I have chosen some of my favorite products to talk about:

Harry Styles’s most iconic looks are always paired with an amazing nail polish moment. Ranging from the yellow smiley face to the black and teal nails to the fruit nails, Styles has done a lot, thus making nail polish the perfect move for a key component to his collection. The Pleasing nail polish is vegan, cruelty-free, and biodegradable. It is created with plant-based solvents, which make this product sustainable. The brush is made of castor bean, and, while the outside of the cap is made from 10%-20% recycled material, the inner cap is made of 100% recycled material. The packaging is 100% compostable, with 70% or more post-consumer material. Post-consumer material is something that would typically be disposed of, but instead is being used in the product.

This product is used to refresh the lips and eyes. I feel as though over the past year everyone’s eyebags have grown, so this is a nice product to relax and refresh your eyes. It follows clean principles. Not only that, but it is also gluten-free, vegan, and cruelty free. The packaging is FSC certified, meaning that it is harvested in a responsible manner, and it has the same packaging details as listed above for the nail polish.

First of all, I am obsessed with this crewneck. It is absolutely adorable, but, more importantly, it has ethical and eco friendly components. It is made from 50% recycled and 50% organic yarn, and is made in Los Angeles. It is also ethically crafted, which is great!
A final thing I love about the brand is the Accessibility component they have at the bottom. It states that they are working to make their website more accessible to those with disabilities, which I believe is amazing and would create more equality.
Overall, I believe that Styles’s products are fabulous and really speak to his target audience, however, he still does have things to do in order to make his products more environmentally friendly.
